One Week Old

I can't believe how quickly time goes, but our little angel is one week old! We hit a little landmark yesterday, and we celebrated by actually taking a shower, doing my hair, getting dressed in real clothes, no jammies, and my mom took me to lunch at Hoppers and to get nursing garments, it was quite the outing!!! Ethan just slept in his car seat the entire time, he is such a good little baby!

After Tyson got home from work yesterday, my mom left and went back to Vernal, today is my first day alone with my baby... wish me luck, so far, its going well, but its only 8:30 AM :)

This is Ethan resting with Daddy, Tyson is such a giant compared to the little guy, but Tyson is adorable with him, already the best little daddy.

This is bath time, Ethan loves his bath, he doesn't cry or make a peep, I love his little almond shaped eyes, they just melt my heart...

When we got home from the hospital, my sister Nikki, and her family where waiting for us, her hubby mowed our lawn, and it was so neat to have such a welcome party. My sis just had her little girl, she is 6 weeks old now, and we got this cute picture of all the Nebeker grand kids. Isn't Ethan's skin so pretty? My grandpa has Italian roots, and we call it the "Jones" skin, beautiful olive/tan skin that never burns... maybe the one thing I passed to him, because he pretty much looks like Tyson. Its been quite the adventure, and things are changing everyday, thank you all for your comments, I'm healing really well, just trying to take it easy, it was so nice to have my mom here to help with laundry, cooking, cleaning, and more than anything, moral support. My tear ducts are actively working nearly all day... but each day is getting better and better, and I have this beautiful boy to hold and love whenever I feel the least bit down.
Today is Tyson and my 5 Year Anniversary... again, I can't believe how quickly the time goes, it seems just yesterday we were dating and getting engaged... Tyson is making me a yummy dinner and then we are going to get a shaved ice, nothing too exciting, but it will be good to get out of the house. Thanks again for all of your comments, they have all brightened my day!

He Is Finally Here

He made it! We are so excited to have our little man here safe and sound. Ethan Edwin Hacking arrived Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at 9:45 AM.
I was induced the day before at 9:00 AM. After getting some petocin and having my water broke, labor began and moved so SLOWLY! I finally dilated to a 10, and started pushing. That lasted about 3 hours, and baby just was not moving, he was facing forward, and making no progress at all. That's when it was decided that C-Section was necessary to get this little guy here.

About 1/2 hour later, we welcomed our son into this world: 8 pounds, 2 oz, 20 inches long, beautiful tan skin, and oh so handsome! He is very well tempered, loves to be held, is a strong little eater, and we just can't get enough of him!

We had to stay in the hospital for a few days, we just got home yesterday afternoon. Thanks for all of your prayers and kind wishes, we are thrilled to have him home with us, he is so beautiful, and we love him so much! We are taking it easy, lots of healing and resting to do, and my milk finally came in today, so now we can fatten this little guy up!
